Jessica McLane made a controversial statement and went viral on TikTok after sharing the story that she attended the same school as Taylor Swift, claiming that the singer was not particularly popular at that time.

In the video, which is already negatively impacting Swifties, the singer’s fans, the woman said that both grew up in the same city and therefore attended the same school, Hendersonville High School in Tennessee.

“In 2006, I was a freshman in high school. I think Taylor was in the third year. ‘Teardrops on my Guitar’ had just been released, I think, during the summer. Obviously, she became very big, and that was the year she left school and was homeschooled,” explained Jessica.

She then suggests in the video that when Taylor began to take off in her musical career, her classmates “hated” her, and “envy” was definitely a factor. It didn’t take long for fans to defend the singer, questioning Jessica and claiming that she didn’t have enough evidence.
